Mindup chapters1/12/2024 9:05–9:08 a.m., 1:05–1:08 p.m., 2:57–3:00 p.m.).Īctual sessions: At Elsie Roy Elementary (in Vancouver, BC, Canada), Mindfulness Meditation sessions take place daily at the same designated times (3x per school day). At the K-7 elementary school, where my son attends (in Vancouver, BC, Canada), all students inside the school are enrolled into Mindfulness Meditation sessions 3x per school day (at approx. In other places, entire schools are involved. The following programs are affected by this petition: Mindfulness, MindUP, Mindful Schools, Learning to Breathe, Inner Kids, Still Quiet Place, FRIENDS, etc.įrequency: Some public school teachers have implemented Mindfulness Meditation in their classrooms, and children meditate once per day. Click the red "Sign this petition" button and add your name to this important petition. By signing this petition, you would be standing up for public students, human rights, Canadian law, ethical accountability, and for Canada to remain a Free Country. How you can help: Please sign this petition and help me persuade applicable teachers and officials to obey the law and stop requiring students to participate in Mindfulness-oriented initiatives. I also think it is an injustice that participating students are generally engaging in meditation without their knowledge, informed consent, awareness of the risks, etc. But, I respectfully hold to the truth that no one has the legal right to be legislating Canadian students into mandatory Mindfulness Meditation sessions. Perspective: Mindfulness Meditation is popular in our society today, and I understand the draw to these initiatives. It is also worth noting that most Mindfulness Meditation sessions (in public schools) involve directions from a Mindfulness Guide, and when it does, those Mindfulness Meditation sessions also qualify as Guided Meditation sessions. What is Mindfulness Meditation: Mindfulness Meditation is Buddhist Meditation, with an unassuming name. Legislated meditation in Canadian public classrooms is unlawful and should not continue. That's a problem and should not continue because Canada is a Free Country, and we have laws in place that prohibit things like legislated meditation. Summary of the problem: Numerous Canadian public school teachers and officials are requiring students to participate in daily mandatory Mindfulness Meditation sessions. Let’s dive into The Fiery Cross Chapter 75.Who can sign: This petition is open for anyone to sign, from anywhere in the world.Īddressed to: This petition is directed towards applicable Education Ministers, teachers, administrators, school trustees, and other officials and politicians in Canada. This is a National petition that affects all applicable public schools in Canada. I like the book chapter, but I adore the way the show developed things. Outlander Season 5, Episode 8 adapted this slightly differently, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section. It’s all about progressing Roger’s story along, making sure that we get the recovery so we can then move onto the next plot points. There isn’t that much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. The world settles around him, and he’s able to say her name. There’s a moment of panic, but then he sees Brianna. The moment he screams out to stop Jemmy burning himself turns everything around. However, it’s important and we can get a sense of everything Roger is thinking. This chapter still isn’t from Roger’s point of view. Was he refusing to try to speak in fear of never actually speaking? Was he just struggling to come to terms with everything that happened? Getting the recovery period from his mind would have opened up a lot. We don’t get chapters from Roger’s point of view during this point. Claire fears that he might not, and it clearly plays on Roger’s mind up until Outlander Book 5, Chapter 75. Up to this point, nobody has known whether Roger would be able to speak again.
